As you know if you have followed my blog posts about my mom’s journey to recovery, I experienced first-hand the power and potential of healing that comes through mobilizing the spiritual community around the world – sending prayers, healing energy, loving thoughts, etc. As you also know if you have followed my blog posts for a while, I am a walking science experiment, constantly trying out new things on myself and making new discoveries.
Put the two together, and I have just decided to hold a weekly prayer/chanting/healing session, for everyone with love and positive intentions to join remotely. In the coming weeks, I will write about what I’ve been learning about the scientific studies on the power of focused prayer (shortcut version: It works.) Meanwhile, I call on loving, healing people of all religions, faiths, and spiritual practices, to join together our energetic powers on Friday September 4, from 1:01 pm – 1:06 pm, Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) in the USA.
Why 1:01 pm? Because in the Hebrew language, numbers are letters; and 101 spells out the name of Michael, the Angel of Life. In the Iraqi Jewish (and I believe general Middle Eastern/North African Jewish) tradition, this number is one of the two most powerful numbers that exist, so wherever possible, we do things in multiples of 101.
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing on Friday at 1:01 pm PDT, please take a time-out for five minutes — making yourself receptive to love, light, healing, nourishment, and sustenance that we collectively generate, and sending these qualities out to everyone connected through our network. To focus our channeling power, I suggest the following unifying chant:
We heal our bodies.
We heal our minds.
We heal our hearts.
We heal our souls.
We heal together.
I look forward to meeting you in the universal airwaves this Friday. Please come to the blog site after the experience and let me know what it was like for you.
One note on why I have chosen to have us focus on this inter-connected network, instead of sending out prayers to everyone in the world: I have an intuition that the more our prayers are focused on each other, the more we will create a kind of curcuit, and so the more strongly and effectively the prayers will impact each of us. I plan on trying out a lot of different ways of praying together and seeing what happens. Friday’s prayer gathering is just the first step. Rest assured that I’ll also facilitate a global shout out to all who need it.
With blessings and excitement,
