Here are my current cancer treatment objectives and questions:

  • See if there is someone somewhere who can diagnose the nodule cells without taking out the thyroid gland
  • See if there are other options for healing (fast) before a surgery – energy healing, herbs, other options?
  • Find out what happens when thethyroid comes out – what are some possible complications after, like fatigue?
  • Find out about all the drugs that will be administered before, during, and after surgery, and find out about their side effects and possible herbal alternatives.
  • Find out about thyroid meds – what would I be put on? What are possible side effects? Are there herbal alternatives?

 would recommend doing the following:
1) Obtain the copy of your biopsy report
2) Look for the comments regarding the “arrangement” of Hurtle cells
If they are located in the clusters or sheets and the nodule has no colloid, we are looking at the neoplasm which has 25 % of being cancerous; “few occasional Hurtle cells” in the sample may be present due to the different condition (Hashimoto’s disease)
The diagnosis of the Hurtle cell cancer can be made after nodule removal; not sure if molecular testing for cancer can help here

Let me correct myself
According to the article , http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0039606004005574
the molecular testing can be used to differentiate between benign adenoma and the cancer.
