I found this photo in the one small pile of photos from my mom’s life. This is my favorite, for a few reasons:

We look alike here; she’s very healthy here; and she’s out in nature — which these days she doesn’t like, but which I have always loved. (She prefers to cut down the trees, which are in the way of her “view”)

And just, I don’t know, something about her energy. She seems really strong and free here. I like that.

Unfortunately, to make this photo web-compatible, I had to make it pretty small. And when I expanded the photo on my blog, it got blurry. Still, I wanted to include it, because I love it so much!
