In Part I of this video sequence, I discussed my experience of fear, anxiety, and the spiral of pain. Here in Part II, I share my strategies for transcending these feelings and pulling myself out of this spiral. Some of my personal strategies today included the following:
- Call my mom and be specific about my needs — in this case, requesting that she be in “cheerleader mode.”
- Drink a lattee so that I take the edge off and bring my awareness, presence, consciousness, spirit, etc back into my body by waking up more fully.
- Deal head-on with my anxieties — in this case, by going to the computer and taking care of some business — so as to allay my worries.
- Do a dance routine — which I will share in Part III of this video sequence.
