Deep in my blog archive is a post about how to let people know the many different ways they can help you when you’re in the throes of a pain episode. Today I’m going to share seven sacred ways that you, dear reader, can help me hoist myself out of the past three months of crisis, whether you are near or far. Remember: As Depeche Mode noted, everything counts in large amounts.
- Give me an energy boost.
Light a candle or burn incense in my honor. Say a prayer for me. Send healing energy to me. Have me in your thoughts when you are creating artsy things, dancing, walking in nature, or otherwise enjoying your life. Ask your prayer groups and support groups to do any of the above as well.
- Be my cheerleader.
Send me encouraging notes on my blog, through social media, or via email. Send me your phone number and/or personal email address, inviting me to bend your ear when the need arises.
- Exchange services with me.
If you have something I need (office supplies, dental work, legal counsel, massage sessions, fresh organic produce, salon services, auto body repair, graphic design, audio recording, Outlook program repair, video editing…) – offer it to me in exchange for my professional services (comprehensive media and public relations services, Dancing with Pain® classes, pain management and patient advocacy coaching, healthcare practitioner training, Jewish multicultural education, music lessons, Dancing with Pain® advertising space).
- Hire me.
If you need any of the above-mentioned services and would like to pay in cold hard cash, let’s tawk! If you have chronic pain and would like to experience a Dancing with Pain® class, get a group together to cover the cost of putting on a class at some venue and bringing me out to teach!
- Refer me to potential clients.
If you know individuals or companies who need professional services that I offer, hook me up with those peeps!
- Volunteer your time.
Help me do email outreach to potential clients, or help me keep Dancing with Pain® moving forward — through researching information, sending outreach emails, and keeping information organized in a spreadsheet.
- Go green.
Help me keep on keeping on by sharing some Benjamins during this rough patch. (Click that there link to hook up to PayPal.)
Thank you for reading my blog, and thanks in advance for any ways that you help me.
