Check out the current issue of Massage & Bodywork magazine (Sept/Oct 2009, page 46). I wrote an article called, “The Power of Self-Healing.” It traces my journey discovering dance and mind-body medicine, and it interviews leading mind-body medicine practitioners, exploring the body mechanics involved behind the powerful experience of self-healing.

  3. David Bressler, PhD, LAc– president of the Academy for Guided Imagery, former White House commissioner on complementary and alternative medicine policy, and author of numerous books on mind-body medicine .
  4. James Dillard, M.D., D.C., C.Ac. — a leading pain specialist, author of numerous books on pain relief, and featured health expert on Oprah, Good Morning America, and CBS Evening News

Dear Loolwa,
I loved the way you included thoughts and suggestions from so many people who have actively wrestled with healing from pain and trauma. Thanks for including me too, it’s a subject of great interest to me and I haven’t read an article on this topic so well put together before. I want to show this to so many people! Health practitioner colleagues, students and clients. I know this article represents your having contemplated and  sorted through many difficult experiences. You’ve created something really valuable for many people. Thank you!  Congratulations!
