		<description>Thanks so much for this discussion of relating to medical &quot;professionals&quot; when you are in pain.  As I nurse, I can always use a reminder of how to approach people who are hurting. Also, I believe that listening is the most useful tool of  any practitioner. I&#039;m talking about deep listening, with all of your being. That way you are more able to give to others. And it just feels so good to be listened to. I think we are desperate for it. 

It is such a vulnerable position, to have your body handled as part of someone&#039;s work. 

I wish and pray for relief of your pain, and I am grateful that you are sharing this blog in spite of it.</description>
