I do acupuncture too, and although my acupuncturist gives me a 25 percent discount, which is very generous, $45 per session is still a lot of money when it helps most if I go at least twice per week. It’s not like my budget has an extra $100 a week for mad money, but it’s the only thing that helps these days other than major narcotics so …

Anyway, the letter is dated from March. I’m guessing by the fact that you’re posting it in August means Dr. C did NOT come through for you, or his insurance company didn’t. He really should have put you in touch with his insurance company as soon as you expressed having eye problems which he apparently admitted in writing that was his fault. It’s not even malpractice insurance that would cover that, it’s his regular business coverage. I cant believe he stonewalled you about that, or the amount of grief you’ve had to go through to get referrals to the specialists you clearly need. It’s just so unfair and so incredibly frustrating. I really feel for you, and I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this.
