Why Does Natural Pain Relief Cost More than Pharmaceutical Intervention?

Why does natural pain relief cost more than pharmaceutical intervention? The way I see it, pharmaceuticals are a lot more involved than, say raw collard greens. You need to pay the researchers, lab techs, corporate staff, marketing and promotions outlets, yada yada yada. And yet it seems to cost less money to eat toxic, disease-inducing foods and pop drugs 24/7, to treat the effects of said disease-inducing foods, than it does to eat food that comes straight from the earth.

I am tickled pink that I switched to a super pure diet. Everything I put in my mouth supports my health and wellness. Everything is doing something, serving some purpose, in my body. But despite the fact that all the food I’m eating in fact doubles as medicine, nobody is covering the expense. And my food bill is outta control, to the tune of $400 a month or more, definitely more when I buy supplements.

I think insurance companies should lower the premium for members who are doing preventative care and getting natural pain relief, through exercising, eating organic, healthy foods, not smoking, etc. Talk about incentive for keeping the medical bills low! Maybe Whole Foods and Blue Cross can talk business. I’m sure there’s a win-win in there somewhere.
